On Thursday 4 July 2019 the official unveiling of the new stairlift and staircase took place at St James’ Trust. The local charity was nominated as the beneficiary for the 2018 Seaford Chamber Golf Day which took place at Seaford Golf Club and raised over £5,000 – half of which was match-funded by Barclays.
Bryan Turner from St James Trust gave a tour of the building and explained how the lift has now enabled many of the senior members to access the upstairs facility with ease, which was previously very difficult. Many people use the St James Trust Clubhouse as a place for parties, events and classes.
Matt Herriott, Premier Market Relationship Manager, Barclays UK said: “We are very proud to be working alongside the Chamber of Commerce to give much needed support to the local community and a worthy cause in St James Trust”.
Alasdair Fortune, the organiser of the annual Golf Day event said “We are proud to have helped complete a project which enables easy access”
